As the Director of the XR Initiative, Jeremy leads an effort to seed new projects and experiments that integrate XR into residential and online curricula, and to create innovative public/private partnerships to develop new XR related educational technology. Jeremy and his team work directly with faculty innovators to conceive and build extended reality experiences that transform and enhance education while also focusing on how this groundbreaking technology can be utilized by all learners and available at scale. A core part of their mission is to make XR technology more accessible on campus and encourage its use in higher education. Their team builds virtual worlds using state of the art game engines and 3D modeling to create augmented, virtual and mixed reality experiences that can be utilized in courses. They fund extended reality learning projects that immerse students as creators and learners with these advanced technologies. Prior to joining CAI, Jeremy was the co-founder and managing partner for Afia Inc, an Ann Arbor based healthcare consulting firm that worked with organizations across the country to assist in selecting and implementing technology solutions to improve processes and patient experiences.
