Jennifer Rogers
Jennifer Rogers is an experienced Learning & Talent Development executive with a demonstrated history of strategic workforce transformation and capability development. She specializes in workforce optimization and acceleration utilizing a unique combination of emerging technologies and data analytics and has led large strategic initiatives in several global, high risk-high compliance industries, including oil and gas, mining, aviation, and financial services. Jennifer is passionate about leading cutting edge innovation in the learning space, with particular attention to strategies that proactively prepare the workforce for the future of work, and currently serves as VP of Learning and Development at RPM Living, a rapid-growth-stage real estate firm, as well as lends her expertise as an Executive Officer of IEEE’s Learning Technology Standards Committee.
Michael McDonald
After a combined 20 years of studying and teaching foreign languages, Michael McDonald created Gold Lotus which aims to demonstrate how virtual reality can support the learning and teaching of foreign languages.
Recent projects include the launch of the Handy English VR vocabulary-building app, a 24-hour VR English lesson and cultural event to raise funds for the fight against Covid and programs in schools around the world aimed at raising awareness of how VR can be used to develop language skills and cultural awareness, with particular focus on students building their own webXR spaces to share their local cultural heritage in a unique VR exchange program. His most recent course in partnership with VictoryXR has just concluded on the ENGAGE VR platform – Public Speaking in a Multicultural World.
Roland Dubois
Roland is a product designer and UX expert based in NYC, curator of WebXRNews.com, XR Accessibility at Virtuleap, and creator of GRAVR — a globally recognized avatar for VR on the web. Previously, Roland co-founded the consulting agency ByteDept, designing human-centric digital products for some of the world’s most respected brands in a variety of verticals. He is the host of WebXR (A-Frame NYC) workshops/events and creates immersive experiments that make the current VR/AR industry accessible for everyone.
He started his design career in the Siemens/BenQ innovations lab. A graduate of the University of Applied Sciences Munich, Roland is an adjunct faculty teacher for immersive design at the School of Visual Arts, NYC. He is also a member of the W3C Immersive Web CG and XR Access.
Steve Grubbs
Steve Grubbs is the founder of VictoryXR, a pioneer in the space of metaversity education. Steve is the former chair of the House Education Committee in the Iowa Legislature and has degrees in business and law from the University of Iowa.
Mina Johnson-Glenberg
Dr. Johnson-Glenberg is a Research Professor at Arizona State University in the Psychology department. She is also an entrepreneur and President of the award-winning learning technology company called Embodied Game, LLC. she leads a team that creates, researches, and disseminates innovative virtual and mixed reality (XR) educational content for 4th graders through life-long learners. She has a varied background as a screenwriter, experimental psychologist, and game designer. Her lab has been at the forefront of creating “embodied” and kinesthetically-active games using sensors and motion capture technologies for over a decade and a half. Dr. Johnson-Glenberg presents nationally and internationally. Some recent publications include design guidelines for learning VR at Frontiers in Robotics and AI and, a rubric that teachers can use to score the quality of a VR lesson.
Corinne Brenner
Corinne Brenner is Director of Learning at Killer Snails, where she helps create and study games that inspire a love of science. Killer Snails’ most recent project is WaterWays, an augmented reality app that helps students connect the impact humans have on water, and water’s impact on people. She is also a PhD candidate in NYU’s Educational Communication and Technology program, where she uses a variety of methods to understand how virtual reality can be used effectively in education.
Corinne is an author of numerous academic publications examining the affordances of immersive technology for education and entertainment. She received her BA in Psychology from Cornell University, and MSc in Social Psychology and Psychological Methods from the University of Amsterdam.

Emily Sherwood
Emily Sherwood is Director of Digital Scholarship and Studio X at University of Rochester’s River Campus Libraries. She is an alum of both the Council on Libraries and Information Resources (CLIR) Postdoctoral Fellowship Program and the EDUCAUSE/CLIR Leading Change Institute. With over a decade of experience helping faculty across disciplines incorporate technology in their teaching and research, Emily regularly collaborates with faculty, staff, and administrators at UR and beyond to develop experiential learning opportunities, increase digital literacy skills, and push the boundaries of how libraries support research and teaching through the use of technology.
Currently, she is building capacity for augmented and virtual reality at UR with the opening of Studio X, a hub for immersive technologies. Emily holds a doctorate in English from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York.
